When thinking about which interview to retrieve from the vault this month, I initially went to a Q&A I did with then rising Australian fiction superstar, Rachael Johns. 2013 is a lifetime ago for Johns who has since gone on to become a multiple award-winning bestselling author who consistently appears in lists of favourite Australian writers.

The Signature of All Things was Elizabeth Gilber’s first published fiction since THAT book launched her career into the stratosphere and only her second work of fiction, but what a work it is! Gilbert is a writer who has lived an extraordinary life and has become something of a rock star since this was published.

Way back when, I wrote a literary column called The Bookshelf for the online women’s magazine, The Hoopla. As well as reviewing new books, lucky me also got to interview lots of writers.
